Comparar la red Wi-Fi con la conexión por cable. Un test de velocidad nos permitirá comprobar cuánta diferencia de megas existe entre nuestra conexión ADSL por red WiFi o por cable. Por lo general, la velocidad incrementa utilizando un cable enchufado directamente a nuestro dispositivo; con un test de velocidad podremos comprobarlo personalmente.

Los parámetros que suelen ofrecer estos medidores de velocidad ADSL incluyen, además de la cantidad de megas de descarga y los de subida, la latencia y el ping. La latencia hace referencia a la inmediatez de la conexión, es decir, el tiempo que tarda en recibir un paquete del servidor. La latencia se mide con el ping, que especifica en milisegundos (ms) el tiempo que tarda en comunicarse la conexión local con el equipo remoto de la red IP.
